Getting Ready for Ice | 9:45–10:00 AM

Coaches are on the floor to help players get skates on and ready. This supported transition keeps things calm, organized, and stress-free.

On-Ice Session | 10:00–12:40 PM

Players spend nearly three hours on the ice, broken into purposeful segments to keep energy high and attention strong.

  • First portion: Technique and skill development using circuits to keep players engaged. Focus areas include edge work, puck control, balance, and basic decision-making.

  • Second portion: Small-area games that encourage creativity, awareness, and confidence while making the game fun and competitive.

Fifth Third- Small Group Skill Development Peewee & Bantam

Ford Hockey School

Small Group Skill Development – March

Ford Hockey School is offering **small group skill development sessions at Fifth Third Arena on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the month of March. These sessions are designed for players who want focused instruction, high repetitions, and direct coaching in a competitive small group environment.

With a low player to coach ratio, players receive detailed instruction while working on the fundamentals that translate directly to game situations. Sessions focus on edge work, puck control, deception, quick decision making, and the small details that help players perform with confidence and speed during games.

Training in a small group setting allows players to maximize reps, compete against strong players, and build habits that carry over into real game situations. Each session is built around the Ford Hockey School philosophy of training with purpose and playing with an edge.

These March sessions are a great opportunity for players to stay sharp during the season and continue building their skill foundation at one of Chicago’s premier training facilities.
